The Bunnys Hop

Can't believe Easter is less than a month away! I played with this adorable Mama Elephant - The Bunny's Hop stamp and die set.  Colored the stamped then die cut image with COPICs markers on Neenah 110 lb solar white paper.  I experimented on the bunny with glasses in the far right of the second row, and did not like the results.  Since I had spent a good bit of time coloring the bunnies, I decided to give it a quick fix with the exacto knife: cut a slit in the bunny's paw and the ears of the bunny below.  I then slipped in a die cut heart and glued the ear and paw onto the heart.  Gave the red heart a wash of Clear Wink of Stella for added sparkle. (doesn't show up in photo)  I think the distraction worked...?

I added some shine to the bunny's eyes with a black glaze pen, then added a dot of white to each eye.  Added lashes to some of the "girl" bunnies.  Dotted the bunny noses with clear glaze pen.

The background was created with Tumbled Glass and Twisted Citron distress inks blended onto Cryogen White 89 lb card stock.  I adhered the background onto an A2 size card; then popped the bunnies atop the background using die cut fun foam.  The sentiment Happy Easter came with the coordinating die set and I die cut it 3 times in white cardstock and glued/stacked the layers.  The top and fourth layer was die cut in Bazzill Candy Necklace card stock and glued on top of the stack of 3.  This finished stack of 4 layers give the sentiment more presence and dimension.  Embellished with some sequence added around the sentiment.
